A new studio ceramic range by Fiona Thompson and Chris Donnelly are one of the attractions at Beaverhall Art Studios second open studios this weekend.

Their new range, slipcast in white earthenware, uses a limited colour palette with abstract surface patterns and is designed for using every day.  It is available at Concrete Wardrobe in Edinburgh and the Tayberry Gallery in Perth as well as over the open weekend.

A selection of the artists based at Beaverhall, a former chocolate factory, will be on site to welcome you into their creative spaces where you can get to grips with the behind the scenes action and peruse the studios over the weekend. Many items will be for sale, and several of the studios offer workshops, classes, and individual tuition – from ceramics to millinery.  Cyan Clayworks will be offering a discount on forthcoming courses for a limited time only.

An exhibition in the main gallery space on the second floor will show a variety of work from the studio residents  including paintings by Hatti Pattison, millinery by Sally Ann Provan, who creates quality bespoke millinery and accessories, and individual work by ceramicists Fiona Thompson and Chris Donnelly.
