The new Edinburgh arts hub, Beaverhall Art Studios, will hold their first open weekend on 17 and 18 November 2012 when visitors can look behind the scenes of a professional working studio and meet the artists.
Amongst the artists taking part are Sally-Ann Provan who creates quality bespoke millinery and accessories, ceramic artists Fiona Thompson and Chris Donnelly who make sculptural and functional objects and Lyndsey Jean Henderson who prints bespoke wallpapers and textiles.
The second floor has an additional exhibition space, and there will be lots of items on display in each studio. This will include hats and accessories, printed wall papers, textiles, paintings and sculptural and functional ceramics.
Several of the studios offer workshops, classes, and individual tuition – from screenprinting to ceramics – so it’s also a good opportunity to find out what’s available and perhaps sign up for a creative course.See & Buy: Beaverhall Open Studios Beaverhall House, 27 Beaverhall Road, Edinburgh EH7 4JE
